“ Received warm welcome by the manager. They merged the tables for us promptly as we dine in large group. The manager explained the menu and on top of that, he also recommended us alternative choice if we dont feel like eating katsu dishes. My breaded pork loin in the katsu Don was so juicy. Just that I think it would be nicer if they could pour more runny egg on top of the katsu. Love their brown tea! If you ordered set, rice, soup and cabbage can be refilled. The staffs all all attentive and polite. The manager being very thoughtful enough as he checked with each of us if we're allergic to yam cuz we have mochi side dish. Will definitely come back. ”
“ Went to the place by coincidence and was really surprised by the food and service, huge portion witb refillable rice, soup, vegetables and green tea at no extra cost. Service was excellent as all staffs are very attentive and more than happy to help with refilling and preparing special sesame dipping. Definitely one of my favourite place for a casual dinner. ”
“ Visit on: 8 Sep 2024 Same menu from tonkatsu by ma maison. Followed the instructions self make sesame sauce (thick sweet taste) to dipped the fried pork cutlets, also not bad. Can request roasted sesame sauce from staff to pour on the cabbages and also refill cabbages. Very recommend 1. Mix of fried chicken and pork (2 parts of pork) rice set 2. Takoyaki ”
“ My first visit to Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen, usually I go Ma Maison. First, I start with the soup, which was flavorful and hearty, setting a great tone for the meal. The rice was well-cooked—soft yet not mushy—with a perfect texture. The Curry Katsu was flavorful, but personally I find the pork fillet and loin abit dry, which was a little bit of let down. But the good thing is it’s not too oily, so I can finish the whole portion without feeling “too much”. Overall, it was a satisfying experience, but the meat could use some improvement. I'd definitely return for the soup and curry, though. ”
“ First time here and we were happy with our dining experience. After placing the order, we prepared our own sauce using the instructions given at the table. The base of this sauce was roasted sesame seed and the aroma is so good. This grind is later combined with a chef's special sauce, it gives you a nice flavor. Tried their spicy ramen but unfortunately it was so salty for me. We also tried their katsu rice, it was good. The takoyaki was good, my favourite. We ended with a black sesame ice cream, 1st time trying, it was not up to my liking. ”
“ Great dining experience, service was quick and efficient. They will constantly come and check in with you for refills. Had an infant dining with us and they also let us know that they can provide hot water if required. The meat was tender and juicy, not to mention crispy till the end of the meal. Sauces are also on point , does not taste like those store bought sauces. Grind your own toasted sesame to pair with tonkatsu sauce. ”
